{"id":131,"date":"2019-02-21T10:14:25","date_gmt":"2019-02-21T10:14:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wegcwp.uni-graz.at\/quality\/?page_id=131"},"modified":"2020-10-23T12:34:50","modified_gmt":"2020-10-23T12:34:50","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wegcwp.uni-graz.at\/quality\/","title":{"rendered":"HOME"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>With the Paris Agreement in late 2015 the international community signaled both its commitment to long-term carbon free societies and to adhere to a voluntary, bottom-up climate policy architecture.<\/p>\n<p>Austria was one of the first countries both globally and within the EU to ratify the Paris Agreement, yet\u00a0it is now evident that\u00a0the current Austrian 2030 national goals for the non-ETS sectors under the EU effort sharing (as referred to in the #mission2030) amount to<em> less reduction than is implied by\u00a0Austria\u00b4s fair share<\/em> to achieve the Paris target.<\/p>\n<p>The sector furthest from its target trajectory appears to be the transport sector. <strong>QUALITY<\/strong>\u00a0focuses on passenger transport as it is responsible for almost\u00a0two third of transport GHG\u00a0emissions.<\/p>\n<p><em>Qualitative changes<\/em> in the socioeconomic system need to be explored for both their potential to\u00a0bring about substantial GHG emission reduction and policies that foster their realisation along\u00a0pathways.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With the Paris Agreement in late 2015 the international community signaled both its commitment to long-term carbon free societies and to adhere to a voluntary, bottom-up climate policy architecture.
